Raquel Scott is a PowHerful storyteller and a fierce advocate for more accurate media representation of African nations, tribes and cultures. Through her company PowHer House, Raquel is on a mission to Unite the African Diaspora. She is achieving this by spreading a more accurate and modern image of the diversity, culture and beauty of the 54 countries in Africa. Through her films, articles and travel experiences, Raquel hopes to increase the pride, self-love and self-acceptance in African descendants worldwide and provide opportunities for them to travel to and experience the Motherland.

An award winning film producer, Raquel over 25 years of film production experience with a background in photography, analog and digital film editing and color correcting. She has been fortunate to create films that deeply resonate with audiences and highlight perspectives and voices that are often unheard; specifically Black non-stereotypical voices. 

As an Educator, Raquel writes about different aspects of Africa and explores relationships between Africans and African-Americans, and she produces a Youtube series about film production.

Raquel loves traveling the world and immersing herself in different cultures by living like locals and adopting their practices. This often leads to her incorporating elements of their lifestyle into her own which has been life changing! She's traveled to over 20 countries thus far and has lived in Paris France and Accra Ghana in addition to the USA.uction company that offers creative and administrative services for all levels of production from development through distribution.
